The Instant Effects suite of presentation products runs on Windows-based computers. Because all images are generated in real time, performance is most greatly influenced by the power of your system's display hardware. Other factors, such as CPU speed, available memory, type of content being displayed, and screen resolution, all play a role in determining the quality and smoothness of the resulting presentation.

Recommended Hardware:
- Dual core or quad core CPU
- 2 Gigabytes or more of system memory
- A discrete graphics processor from AMD/ATI or Nvidia with at least 256M of dedicated display memory. For Event Presenter and S3D Presenter 512M is recommended.
- Fast disk drives, especially if you intend to use HD video files in Presenter.
Required Software
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2002, 2003 or 2007 is required for all Presenter products and FXShow (not required for the FXD Interactive Media Player). For more information when using Office 2007, see our page on Presenter with PowerPoint 2007.
- Current versions of the Microsoft .NET framework and DirectX runtime (available free from Microsoft)
